Introduction

Survive the horror in two different survival horror games.

This is a collection of two Resident Evil games, which are Resident Evil HD Remaster and Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster. Both games were originally released on Nintendo Gamecube, and were remastered for current generation consoles such as PS4 and Xbox One. Each game has enhanced graphics, Trophy list, and additional content.

Resident Evil HD Remaster

Play the remake of the first Resident Evil game in HD.

This is the fine gem of the collection. Resident Evil Remake was originally the remake of the first Resident Evil game, which was first released on Nintendo Gamecube. This game has two playable characters, with slight story differences and capabilities. Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster

Play the prequel to the first Resident Evil game.

This is the lesser gem of the collection. Resident Evil 0 was originally released on Nintendo Gamecube, and it acts as the prequel of the first Resident Evil game. However, many of the story elements contradicts the established lore of the Resident Evil series. Personally, the game's villain is also the least threatening villain in Resident Evil series ever. Despite the story issues, this game provides solid survival horror experience and gameplay for players, particularly the interesting character switching and item dropping features. Conclusion

A great collection of two good Resident Evil games.

The real highlight of this collection is Resident Evil HD Remaster, but Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster is no slouch either as that game is a bit more experimental with different features. However, I think Resident Evil HD Remaster's quality far eclipses Resident Evil 0 HD Remaster's quality in many areas, such as the story, variety of enemies, puzzles, and characters. Regardless, this is a great collection for both survival horror fans and Resident Evil fans to get.
