Toy Story 3: The Video Game Review (PS3)
Introduction
This is a game based on Toy Story 3, where many of the story levels based on many scenes in Toy Story 3, with some one or two original levels. Not only this game has story levels where Woody and the gang recount their story events, this game has a game mode called Toy Box where you can freely explore the toy world, as well as building your community and completing missions. The PS3 version also includes Zurg as playable character in the Toy Box mode.
Story
This game's story is based on Toy Story 3, where Woody's gang recount their stories from various events in Toy Story films, such as the 'prison' riot in Toy Story 3 and Buzz's game sequence in Toy Story 2. There are no new characters introduced in this game as all of the characters are reused from the series. The storyline is pretty basic for a film tie-in game.
Gameplay
The game's second main feature is the Toy Box mode, where it allows you to play as Woody, Buzz or Jessie and explore the area called Woody's Roundup. As the sheriff, you must build your community by completing different missions, such as redecorating your buildings, save certain toys, and etc. You will get more missions as you buy more buildings in Toy Box as well as fulfilling other criteria.
In order to buy buildings or new townspeople, you need gold. Gold can be acquired by completing missions or mining gold. The mode also features collectible items such as customisations for your townspeople and buildings, which can be obtained by finding the prize capsules scattered in the Toy Box mode.
The gameplay is decent. Short yet fun story levels, fun Toy Box mode, and decent level designs. My only issues with this game are the not-so-good controls, not enough story levels, and repetitive Toy Box missions.

Replay Value
This game has low replay value, if you are playing only and collecting the collectibles from the story levels. The game's Toy Box mode offers decent replay value where you can complete missions with the toys, as well as building your community. You may also play the game in splitscreen co-op mode if you want to.

Story
Play as Woody, Buzz, and Jessie in different story scenes.
Gameplay
Play the story levels.
The game is basically a 3D platforming game, where you can jump, climb, and do other actions in both story levels and Toy Box mode. For the story, you must complete the objectives to clear a story level, such as completing certain amount of minigames, save your fellow toys, and etc.
Controls are simple, as you can jump, push objects, throw your fellow toy to a higher platform, and etc. In certain levels, you can even switch between the three characters, and some levels are designed specifically for certain characters such as a Buzz solo level. Each toy may have their own special ability that allows them to clear certain platforming sections.

Graphics
Good visuals, but with some technical issues.
This game has good visuals, with nice looking characters and environments. However, this game's technical issues are quite prevalent, such as the slowdowns while playing Toy Box mode.
Sound
Good voice acting and soundtrack.
The game's voice acting is good. Although not all voice actors reprise their roles from the film series in this game, the voice acting is still good. The soundtrack is pretty good too, with many themes reused from the film series.
Replay Value
Low to moderate replay value.
This game has low replay value, if you are playing only and collecting the collectibles from the story levels. The game's Toy Box mode offers decent replay value where you can complete missions with the toys, as well as building your community. You may also play the game in splitscreen co-op mode if you want to.
Conclusion
Decent game.
This game is a decent adaptation of the Toy Story film as well as a decent game, but don't expect it to excel over other games such as Tearaway Unfolded when it comes to adventure platforming or LittleBigPlanet when it comes to building stuff. Worth a try, but beware of the game's technical issues while playing the Toy Box mode or the story levels. It is certainly worth playing for players who are interested with short and fun games, especially children.
